Do you have to send my original photo away for restoration?

No, a scanned copy of original is best but a copy or quality photo of picture is sufficent to start work.

How badly damaged can my photograph be?

We can work wonders but some damage or missing parts can be difficult to replace, send us a quick email with picture and we can discuss what is possible.

How long does photo restoration take?

Simple photo restorations may be able to be done within a day, otherwise difficult  restoration may take 2 days upto a couple of weeks.

What if I’m not happy with the photo restoration results?

We will happily try to improve the results if possible, however it can be difficult to repair faces or bodies if too badly damaged, But we always do our best to please our customer.

Can you turn a black and white photo into colour?

Yes, we can colourise photos. You will need to advise us on the colours you would like adding for each person and items of clothing.

How much does photo restoration cost?

Cost varies on the difficulty of the photo restoration, but we will help estimate this when you get in touch.

Can you make a collage of multiple photos?

Yes we can offer a variety of collages and custom collages.

Getting a Quote

Please use the form to request a quote. Use the upload function to upload photos of your damaged prints for assessment & a quote. You can alternativity you can post or drop off your image to Happysnaps, 3 waterside, Dungarvan, Co.Waterford. Uploaded photos are for assessment purposes unless you’re providing your own scan.

​Once a quote is issued and you’ve decided to go ahead with the work, you will be sent a link to our secure payment page. We’ll then arrange for you to send or drop in your print.

All photo restoration packages consist of the photo restoration work and a replica print of similar size (some reduction in the image size may occur during the restoration process) . Your final restored photo will be emailed back to you or you can arrange to pick it up.

​Please note, Results vary; the quality of the original photo, print, the level of damage and the quality of the scan we work on all effect the quality of the final photo. It’s not always possible to achieve a sharp, bright new image, so in some cases we may reject your submission, offer a different service or give a quality warning in our quote. On very rare occasions we sometimes have to turn a photo restoration project down.

You must have permission of the copyright holder to produce copies of professionally produced photos (there’s usually a sticker on the back of the print or watermark ) or photos from publications.
